Bishop David Oyedebo: Declares He won't take COVID-19 vaccine as he clearly stands on His faith.

The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel, David Oyedepo, says he won’t take COVID-19 vaccine jab, adding that he is not a guinea pig.

The cleric stated this on Saturday during the church’s Covenant Hour of Prayer programme.

He said, “I have never seen a generation where you force people to take vaccines. It is inhuman; it is immoral sir. I’m not a lawyer but I don’t think it is legal. You can’t come to my house and want to give me injection.

“On what? Did I invite you? They are confused. But the church has the answer. Did you see any outbreak of virus here? How will it enter the gate? Will it come through the air? How? One woman just got down after that injection in Kaduna. What kind of life? Are human beings now turned to guinea pigs?

“The world is confused but the church is lighted. So the triumph of the church will humble the pride of the world. They don’t know what to do sir. In the last days, the church will be reigning in power and glory. That is God’s agenda.

No apologies. There is a big, big bird in our land, saying ‘don’t take it, they are deceivers’. Let me see someone who will come and inject me. By who? Are you going to tie my hands? How? Did I invite you? I know you are quiet, you will hear more of it. My job is to expose the devil and tell his agents, ‘get off, we are not guinea pigs’.”

R Kelly due to move to New York jail ahead of 'sex crimes' trial in August

April 16 2021 , Written by ODIGWE ANSELEM Published on #Nigeria News, #Lagos, #Abuja, #ENDSARS

The instruction for the R&B singer, 54, who is currently in jail in Chicago, to be taken to a prison in the Big Apple was ordered by a federal judge as report says.

I Believe I Can Fly musician Kelly is awaiting trial in Illinois and New York on 22 charges, including sexual abuse and exploitation, trafficking underage girls, producing indecent images of children and destroying evidence.

The trial in Brooklyn federal court has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic but this week US District Judge Ann Donnelly told lawyers that it will finally go forward on August 9.

The judge told that there will be Covid safe protections in place at the courthouse allowing the trial to go forward.

District Judge Ann also said the government should begin plans to move Kelly to a New York prison - which is most likely to be the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

The time and date of the move were not made public

CBN; State Government must pay their Apex bank loans since 2015

April 16 2021 , Written by ODIGWE ANSELEM Published on #Abuja, #Lagos, #Nigeria News, #NigeriainDiaspora, #NTA, #Nigerians, #covidnigeria, #centralbanknigeria, #ENDSARS

The apex bank granted the loans to states as budget support facilities within the period, the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, said during a visit to Nasarawa State.

He stated this during a session with reporters on Thursday in reaction to claims by Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, that the Federal Government had printed an additional N50 billion to N60 billion to make up for state allocations.

“It is important for me to put it this way that in 2015/2016 … we did provide budget support facility for all the states of the country.

“That loan remains unpaid till now and we are going to insist on the states paying back those monies going forward, since they are accusing us of giving them loans – effectively that’s what they are saying,” the CBN governor said.

He added, “If you understand the concept of printing of money, it is about lending money. There is no need for all the controversy around the printing of money as if we are going into the factory, printing naira, and then distributing (it) on the streets.

“It is very inappropriate for people to just give some coloration to the word ‘printing of money’ as if it is a foreign word coming from the sky.”

According to Emefiele, most countries of the world today are facing an economic crisis, apart from the health challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, he believes it will be irresponsible of the CBN or any central bank to stand idle and refuse to support its government.

The CBN governor decried that Nigeria was in a bad situation, especially with the problem of productivity output – the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), as well as inflation and increased price of commodities.

He, however, stated that the nation’s financial regulator would continue to put in place adequate measures to mitigate the effect of the present situation on the people.

“For us to begin to see some people playing some games, trying to come up with overheating its (the nation’s) polity talking about the printing of money, I think it is unfortunate and totally inappropriate.

“I would like to advise that this should stop. We should all work for the growth of our country and not play politics. I am not a politician and I keep saying so; I am a banker, and I should be left to do my work,” said Emefiele.
